As an added bonus to Citroën’s main line-up, the DS family explores new automotive territory. Offering a more radical selection, this group gives buyers a new perspective on premium vehicles.

With 90 years of automobile excellence under its belt, Citroën has infused the DS line with its very best creative and technological juices. Two years after its initial launch, the DS line (which includes the Citroën DS3, DS4 and DS5) has already sold more than 200,000 units.

The DS story opens a new chapter this year with its Chinese debut. For the occasion, the brand has decided to premiere of the Numero 9 concept car at the Beijing Motor Show. This concept vehicle sets the tone for the future of the DS family and reveals the design cues for the line’s three upcoming models: the C Premium Sedan, an SUV and a high-end D-segment sedan.

Having inherited some of its DNA from other DS models, the Numero 9 concept’s style is both familiar and unique. This imaginative, distinguished vehicle offers exceptional finish, bold driving sensations and all the right qualities for everyday use.

Its charismatic design is a refreshing new take on the shooting brake body style, though its new front treatment was designed to incorporate full-hybrid plug-in technology. The Numero 9 concept also boasts exceptional performance figures (50 km of range, 295 hp, 39 g/km of CO2). It was built with a heady combination of audacity, meticulousness, creativity and leading technology.
