Hyundai Offers 3 Free Years Of Blue Link

Hyundai is giving away free Blue Link subscriptions with each new vehicle.

Hyundai is adding value to its American models with a new package deal involving its Blue Link telematics system.  Similar to GM's OnStar, Blue Link is a suite of services that include emergency assistance (including automatic post-accident response), maintenance monitoring, the ability to diagnose OBD-II and other codes remotely, and of course a 24-hour call center that is linked to every Blue Link-equipped vehicle.

Hyundai will be giving all of its automobiles what it calls Assurance Connected Care - a subscription to the core components of the Blue Link service - for three years at no charge.  If desired, buyers may choose to pay a fee (albeit a smaller one than in years past) to upgrade to a more feature-rich version of Blue Link that includes remote starting, turn-by-turn navigation, and the ability to track a vehicle once it has been stolen.

Hyundai has yet to comment on whether Canadian drivers will also receive three free years of Assurance Connected Care.
