After the coupe versions of the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S were revealed online, the cabriolet has now followed suit.

The vehicles will be officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. However their appearance may be shadowed by the new Porsche Macan, the first compact SUV from the German brand, which will also be unveiled at the show.

Aesthetically, the Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S cabriolet inherit the coupe’s lines while losing the roof.  Their tops take just 13 seconds to deploy and can be done at a speed of up to 48 km / h.

The same motors

The convertibles are offered with the same engine found under the hood of the coupe.

That motor is a 3.8 litre flat six-cylinder engine generating 520 horsepower, or 560 HP for the turbo version. The Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 318 km/h.

According to the manufacturer, the average fuel consumption of the car is advertised at 9.9 L/100 km.
