The Italian automaker recently announced production of the last Gallardo at its plant in Sant'Agata Bolognese. It was an LP 570-4 Spyder in the color Rosso Mars.

Meanwhile, many camouflaged prototypes have been spotted testing for what is no doubt the successor to the Gallardo.

So far, we’ve been calling the new successor the Cabrera but it seems as if that may not be the chosen name after all.

Word has it that the official name of the high-performance coupe is the Huracan. It will be unveiled in March at the International Motor Show in Geneva.

Huracan is the Mayan name of the of wind, fire and storm god.
