Jeep is developing a subcompact model which will bear the name Jeepster. This vehicle would be sized very close to the Buick Encore, Chevrolet Trax and the upcoming Ford EcoSport.

The Jeepster will be assembled in the Italian plant in Melfi, Italy, alongside its cousin, the Fiat 500X. Front wheel drive or all-wheel drive models will be available.

The Jeep Jeepster and Fiat 500X production models will be officially unveiled in March at the Geneva International Motor Show.
