The Next-Gen Cadillac CTS-V will be Unveiled in 2015

Cadillac CTS-V Final Edition

The latest Cadillac CTS is an excellent car. It is comfortable, powerful and luxurious for a competitive price. It can also be very fuel-efficient, or very fast depending on which option box you tick.

But, since the redesign of the car this year, a very important model was absent from the lineup: the CTS-V, with its supercharged Corvette engine pumping out almost 560 furious horses, its mean looks and its exhaust note loud enough to wake the dead (speaking of the dead, we also miss the CTS-V SportWagon, which looked like a hearse created in the Seventh Circle of Hell). For now, the highest-performance model of the CTS is the Vsport, with its 420HP twin-turbo V6. Against the BMW M5, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and the Audi RS7, it falls short.

This is why the American manufacturer will unveil the 2016 version of its tire-shredding sport sedan next year. To keep the public interested (and probably to help sell some of those LSA engines sitting in a warehouse somewhere), Cadillac will sell a Final Edition of the second-generation CTS-V this year. It will be sold only as a coupe and fitted with every option including the Magnetic Ride suspension, big Brembo brakes and that wonderful 556HP V8 engine. Those of you who are ready to pay more than $77,000 for this car will only have to choose the color (Crystal White, Black Diamond or Phantom Grey) and decide whether you want a manual or automatic 6-speed gearbox.

This is your last chance to own one of the best Cadillacs ever made, so don’t hesitate!
