Lumma Design Modify the new BMW X6

Even if the new BMW X6 is not out yet, that doesn’t mean tuners can’t modify it! To prove this point, Lumma Design just rolled out a series of renderings of what their version of BMW’s sporty four-dour-coupe-SUV will look like.

The first thing you will see when you look at the pictures is the bodykit. It adds 50 millimeters on each side of the vehicle, giving it a wider stance. In the back, there is a choice of wing (deck lid or Fast & Furious style) and the large rear bumper houses the exhaust system composed of two large tubes (as thick as a man’s arm, according to the press release) flanking a pair of smaller pipes. A few carbon fiber pieces round up the body modifications. The customer will be able to choose to paint their vehicle in the color of their choice, and Lumma decided to present its rendering in a very bright yellow to help them stand out. Huge 22 inch wheels are also fitted to the X6.

To make sure the performance matches the looks, Lumma Design also offers some mechanical upgrades. Since the xDrive50i will use the now-familiar BMW twin-turbo V8, the tuner is confident they can boost power up from 450 to 590 HP. Top speed will go from 250 to 295 km/h.

The interior is also fitted with various yellow accents, alcantara and suede trim pieces.

Final versions of this modified X6 will be presented at the Geneva Auto Show in 2015.
