2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS Bound for LA

Porsche, a German manufacturer which build sedans and SUVs (and a few sports car here and there), just announced they will present the latest version of their Cayenne GTS at the LA Auto Show.  Price and performance-wise, this model slots just under the Cayenne Turbo.

The GTS is powered by a twin-turbo V6 producing 440 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, which is 20 horses and 62 pound-feet more than the last version. This enables the big SUV to launch from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds (5.2 if you don’t select the Sport Chrono Package) and eventually hit 262 km/h. The GTS is lower, has a sportier suspension, unique wheels and a blackened grille and exhaust. It will be available in dealerships in February, with a $108,200 starting price.

Porsche will also show us its entry-level Cayenne. Starting at $67,400, it still packs a 300 horsepower V6. Since it is not as powerful as the GTS, it can be frugal: 7.5 L/100 km on the highway and 12.3 L/100 km in city driving for a combined consumption of 9.2 L/100 km. Just like all Cayennes, it now comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, a sport steering wheel with gear selection paddles and bixenon headlights with LED daytime-running lamps.

These two vehicles (and the rest of the Porsche lineup) will be presented at the Los Angles Auto Show.
