Maybach Returns At The Los Angeles Auto Show

A few years ago, Mercedes-Benz tried to revive the Maybach moniker to launch a brand that would compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. They rolled out the 57 and 62 sedans, a pair of very luxurious cars that were basically rebodied S-Class models. Very few customers actually bought these, preferring to go see the British for their ultra-comfortable sedans. Sales never reached the expected numbers, and Maybach went under in 2012.

It seems as though the Germans are now ready to try again, and they have announced the launch of a new version of the S-Class named the Mercedes-Maybach S600.

Sitting at the top of the S-Class lineup, this car will distinguish itself with a new grille, C pillars and bumpers. They will also all come with a longer wheelbase.

Inside, the rear seats will be electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated and will feature a massage function. There will be a large selection of customising options, and different materials to choose from.

As the S600 name implies, a V12 will most certainly sit under the car’s hood.

The Mercedes-Maybach S600 will be unveiled officially at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 18.
