NanoFlowcell Quant F: Another Step Towards Production

Last year, one of the most unique concepts at the Geneva Motor Show was the NanoFlowcell Quant E, a sleek sedan powered by ionized fluids. Apart from its unusual drivetrain, the vehicle got our attention because it had already been approved for testing on German roads. However, like every recent technology, we were sceptical about the launch of such an advanced car.

One year later, it seems that the manufacturer is still alive and kicking; at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show, they will unveil the Quant F, an updated version of last year's prototype. Under its relatively unchanged body (apart from the new headlights and the red paint job), there are some interesting new technologies.

First of all, a two-speed transmission is connected to the electric motor. With it, the Quant can now reach 300 km/h. With its updated motor, the car can generate up to 1,090 horsepower for a short period of time. If your right foot is lighter, you can expect to drive up to 800 km on a single tank. The Quant F is also equipped with all-wheel drive, thanks to the addition of electric motors on the front axle.

This prototype's objective is simple: NanoFlowcell wants to send it to be tested for approval by the government.
