Mercedes-AMG GT3 : Use Fear On Your Opponents

In every competition, if you can demoralize your adversaries, you start with an undeniable advantage. If they fear you, a huge percentage of their fighting spirit simply won't be there.

That's obviously what Mercedes-AMG had in mind when they created the GT3: if you were to see one coming up behind you in your rearview mirror, your first instinct would probably be to just move over and let it pass you!

Built to be eligible to participate in GT3 races, this Mercedes-AMG has received numerous upgrades: more aggressive body panels, a vented hood, a rear diffuser and a huge wing, among others. The interior was lightened by removing everything that wasn't useful in a race and has been fitted with a carbon fibre race seat.

To propel the car, Mercedes-AMG chose to go the ''retro'' way; instead of modifying the road-going version's 4-litre twin-turbo V8, the GT3 uses the good old naturally-aspirated 6.3-litre V8 connected to a six-speed sequential transmission. Power has not yet been revealed (the automaker wants to keep a little mystery around their car!), but since we have already test-driven road cars with this engine, we can safely say that it will sound like a demon going down the track.

If you need a GT3 car to race, you can order one right now.
