New Chevrolet Concept For Shanghai

Just before the beginning of the Shanghai auto show, the first image of Chevrolet’s offering to the event has surfaced on the internet. The front grille that you see in the above picture is the FNR Concept.

There is pretty much no information about the vehicle so far; the sole picture shown here even comes from an independent website (auto.sohu.com). We however know that this concept will be a rolling showcase for GM’s new technologies. There is no mention of exactly WHICH tech, but it stands to reason that some of it may come from the EN-V 2.0 Concept, a small pod-like car with autonomous driving aids and V2V features. If that’s the case, we can expect guiding systems, movement-activated controls and a starting mechanism that reads your pupils, among other things.

Under the hood, I’m willing to bet that an electric motor will be shown.

The car’s name is less shrouded in mystery: FNR stands for Find New Roads, Chevrolet’s international slogan.

The concept, which has been developed by GM’s technical center in Asia, will be shown next week during the Shanghai auto show.
