2015 Frankfurt Motor Show - Here Is The Bentley Bentayga

Once again, we can thank the forces of the Internet for another early release. Tonight, some pictures of Bentley's first SUV, the Bentayga, were posted. In response, the manufacturer had no choice but to release the rest of the images as well as the complete specifications of their newest vehicle.

So, here is the Bentayga. While the designers chose to keep the EXP 9 Concept's profile, it's nice to see that they ditched its controversial front end. The whole vehicle is made of aluminum, and while the total weight hasn't been revealed, we know that it is 236 kilos lighter than it would have been if built out of steel.

The Bentayga comes standard with a 5-seat configuration, or customers can choose a 4-seat arrangement. In the latter case, the rear passengers are even more comfortable: they sit in seats that are 18-way adjustable and feature heating, cooling and massage functions. The Bentayga can also be optioned with a 1,950 watt Naim sound system as well as something called Bentley Entertainment Tablets; these are basically 10.2-inch Android tablets featuring 4G and Wi-Fi network connectivity as well as Bluetooth.

Bentley's SUV comes standard with an eight-inch touchscreen that features the latest generation of the manufacturer's operating system, 22-way adjustable front seats, LED headlights, aluminum roof racks and 20-inch wheels (22's are optional).

To propel the Bentayga, Bentley used the newly-developed W12. Developing 600 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque and helped by its eight speed transmission and AWD, the Bentayga can get from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and will eventually hit 301 km/h, which makes it the fastest production SUV on the market.
