A Koenigsegg One:1 Crashed on the Nurburging

Earlier this week, Koenigsegg was testing its most recent supercar, the One:1. They were putting the car through its paces on the Nurburgring.

Something went wrong, though: the driver lost control in Adenauer Forst, a wooded section.

After entering a turn too fast, the car went off-road and through a steel barrier. The driver got out okay, but the Koenigsegg suffered extensive damage. The front pretty much disintegrated, the steering system was mangled, the rear was hit a few times… there are also evidences of burning at the back, which means a fire broke out at some point.

With only six units built (seven, if you include this prototype…), the One:1 is one of the most expensive (USD$1.3 million) and most powerful (1341 horsepower) vehicles to ever crash at the Nurburgring.
