Canada gets limited Subaru BRZ, WRX STI ? Hikari Editions

Subaru is bringing a very limited run of two special-edition models to Canada, with the BRZ and WRX STI 光 Hikari Editions limited to a combined 300 units across the country.

Decked out in Hyper Blue paint, the two trims pay tribute to the brand's sport heritage, with unique interior and exterior accents to help set them apart from the rest of the pack.

The BRZ 光 Hikari Edition builds on the six-speed manual-equipped Sport-Tech model and adds a strut tower bar, black exterior trim, blue footwell illumination, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, and blue interior trim.

It's priced at $30,495, an $1,100 premium over the BRZ Sport-Tech, and is limited to just 100 units in Canada.

The 2016 WRX STI 光 Hikari Edition, meanwhile, is equipped similarly to the WRX STI Sport Package, and rides on 18-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels.

The sticker price on the special edition WRX STI is $41,895, $1,100 more than the comparable model but $3,500 less than the WRX STI Sport-Tech.

It will be limited to 200 units total in Canada.

Subaru did not say when either would be available.
