The Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro trucks were unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show, and three promising ultimate off-road performance.

The 4Runner is equipped with a 4.0-litre V6 engine that develops 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque, matched to a five-speed automatic transmission. The TRD Pro now receives 2.5-inch Fox shocks which, along with the TRD-tuned springs, brings a one-inch ground clearance increase as well as one more inch of wheel travel.

Compared to other versions of the 4Runner, the TRD Pro gets a wider track front and rear, of almost one inch, which should improve stability. It also boasts 17-inch matte black alloy wheels with Nitto Terra Grappler P265/70R17 all-terrain tires.

The 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro’s exterior design hasn’t changed, and three paint colours are available, including Super White, Midnight Black Metallic and Voodoo Blue—the latter being unique to the TRD Pro edition. New for 2019 is a redesigned roof rack to storing more dirty gear after a day of off-roading. Other features include LED fog lights, TRD Pro blacked-out front grille, TRD Pro floor mats as well as TRD shift knob and Softex seats with red contrast stitching.

Pricing hasn’t yet been set for the 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, but the 2018 edition is listed from $52,920 before freight and delivery charges. It will go sale in Canada next fall.
