While the Tesla Model 3 primarily attracts consumers looking for a long-range, high-tech electric car, it also manages to appeal to a certain number of performance enthusiasts.

You already know the top-of-the-line Performance variant (MSRP from $75,990), which cuts 0-100 km/h acceleration times to 3.4 seconds. It is available with a Performance Upgrade that includes 20-inch performance wheels, performance brakes, a lowered suspension, a carbon fibre spoiler, aluminum pedals and a Track mode, increasing its top speed from 233 to 261 km/h in the process.

If you want, you can now crank things up another notch. Among the many accessories offered by Tesla on this Model 3 is a new Track Package that’s said to maximize high-speed stability, cornering force and braking performance. It’s a must-have if you intend to do some hot laps occasionally.

The package includes 20-inch Zero-G performance wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (245/35ZR20), tire pressure sensors, high-performance brake pads and performance brake fluid designed for track use.

All these additions cost $7,200. The price includes installation and shipping to your selected Tesla Service Centre. As you can expect, the high-performance wheels and tires may affect your range, which is rated at 481 kilometres for the Model 3 Performance Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive with Performance Upgrade.

According to the Tesla website, deliveries of the Track Package are scheduled to begin in April.
