800-hp Yenko/SC Chevy Silverado Turned Into Off-road Beast

Remember the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Yenko/SC unveiled this summer? It’s an 800-horsepower street truck designed for straight-line performance and little else.

But since off-road pickups are becoming more and more popular these days, the tuning company that built this machine, Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE), decided to create a more rugged, versatile and capable variant for all types of terrain.

Obviously, the lowered suspension has been replaced by a new lift kit featuring Fox performance shocks for extra wheel travel. More specifically, the suspension is raised by four inches (10 centimetres) compared to a regular Silverado.

SVE also fitted a heavy-duty rear sway bar, unique 20-inch wheels and Nitto Ridge Grappler off-road tires. There are accessory lights on the roof and tubular bars over the bed sides. Naturally, power retractable side steps have been installed for easier access to the high-perched cabin.

In terms of styling, the new pickup further stands out with fender flares and custom graphics on the sides and on the hood. However, the same 800-horsepower version of the 6.2-litre LT2 V8 is included, making it the most powerful limited-production GM truck available today. A heavy-duty six-speed transmission handles that power along with the 720 pound-feet of torque. Six-piston callipers and 16.1-inch discs ensure strong braking performance.

Even though this 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Yenko/SC is more potent than the new, 702-horsepower Ram 1500 TRX, FCA doesn’t really have to worry since only 50 units of the former will be built. Pricing is not specified.
