Electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Motors, which opened its first Studio location on Canadian soil in Vancouver last fall, inaugurated a second at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto this past weekend.

This latest Studio location serves as the 23rd in the company’s growing North American retail network.

“Opening a Studio at the largest shopping destination in Canada will help us elevate the brand in Canada as we continue to expand in North America,” said Zak Edson, Vice President of Sales and Service, Lucid. “We are looking forward to seeing the longest-range EV driving, and charging, on Canadian roads soon.”

Lucid Studios allow customers to experience the brand and obtain information about its products. Using a 4K VR configurator, Lucid’s Virtual Reality Experience combines the physical and virtual worlds to showcase seamless personalization of everything from interior finishes and materials to exterior colour.

Lucid’s presence in the Toronto area will expand with a service centre opening later in 2022. Other locations in Canada will follow soon, as well.

As a reminder, the base, 480-horsepower Lucid Air Pure with 653 kilometres of range starts at $105,000. One level up, the Air Touring dishes out 620 horsepower and has a price tag of $129,000. Range is the same. The Grand Touring model, which retails from $189,000, bumps the horsepower rating to 820 and enables 830 kilometres of range.

Canadians can reserve any Lucid Air model online. Required deposits start at $400 for the Pure model and can go up to $1,300 for Touring and Grand Touring models. The company expects to begin Canadian deliveries of the Lucid Air this spring.

It also recently collaborated with Electrify Canada to offer two years of complimentary charging to customers who reserve a Lucid Air by June 30, 2022. This DC fast charging network allows the large electric sedan to gain up to 350 kilometres in just 15 minutes for models with 900V architecture connected to 350kW chargers.
