Hyundai i-Flow Concept : Intermediate i40 coming up

Published on February 22, 2010 in Geneva by Gilles Olivier

In the same manner as the Japanese manufacturers Toyota and Honda conceive cars for the European markets, Hyundai, the South Korean manufacturer, also has series of cars to offer that meet European needs.

Such series as the i10, the i20, the i30 and soon the i40 have thus been offered. The i40 will in fact replace the intermediate four-door sedan Sonata, on the old continent.

Drawn up at the Rüsselsheim studios in Germany, this concept four-door sedan aims at being a car with fluid lines. In all probability, the silhouette will resemble that of a four-door coupé, as is the case with the Hyundai Sonata, which is soon due to be offered in America.

This concept means an important decrease in weight, for a four-door sedan of this category. Furthermore, this car will be the first product from this manufacturer to be equipped with solar cells on the roof

Killer question...

Will the silhouette of the i40 be different from the one on the American Sonata?
