10 : Mitsubishi Mirage : A mirage is usually what you see in the desert before you die of thirst. We wished we would see something else when we look at this subcompact...

9: Hyundai Creta : Hyundai wanted the name of their new SUV to inspire the Greek islands. However, it sounds too much like cretin.

8 : Ford Probe : The Probe got its name from space conquest, which was popular in the 90's. However, the name also inspire some invasive medical procedure.

7 : BMW i8 : As beautiful as the i8 is, it sounds like ''I hate'' or ''I ate''.

6 : Chevrolet Nova : GM couldn't figure out why this car wasn't selling well in South America... Until someone pointed out that the name meant ''does not go'' in Spanish.

5: Buick Rendezvous : ''Rendez-vous'' means appointement, in French.
