Mercedes-Benz is one of the most storied automakers in the world. In a little over 125 years of history, they have created some of the most memorable and historical pieces of rolling art and performance. A Top 25 list of Mercedes cars would have barely sufficed to cover the truly remarkable product they have created in a little over a century. We’re certain you can think of many that we’ve missed, but here are our Top 10 Mercs. 1928 Mercedes-Benz SSK: Designed by Ferdinand Porsche, 40 made, one of the fastest cars of its time.
1934 Mercedes-Benz 500K: Supercharged, super gorgeous and equipped with a fully independent suspension.
1936 Mercedes-Benz 260D: The world’s first production diesel car.
1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL: The legendary Gullwing—fuel injected and one of the fastest cars of its day.
1971 Mercedes-Benz AMG 300SEL 6.8: The 420-horsepower “Red Pig” prepared by AMG for the 1971 24 hours of Spa.
