Everyone has a favourite classic car, if not many. Chrysler was on fire in the mid-60s all the way to the early 70s. In that period of time, they created some of the most memorable muscle cars of the era. This is another Top 10 that was difficult to put together. Hope you agree with our choices. 1965 Plymouth Barracuda: a response to the Ford Mustang as Chrysler’s sporty compact car.
1966 Dodge Charger: the beginnings of Dodge’s best-known nameplate, complete with a 318-cubic-inch V8.
1968 Dodge Charger R/T: possibly the most desirable Mopar muscle car. Also, the ’69 is best known as the General Lee.
1968 Plymouth Road Runner: a midsize affordable sports car, priced below the GTX. What a gorgeous car!
1969 Dodge Charger Daytona: because aerodynamics and winning races. Massive rear spoiler!
1970 Dodge Challenger T/A: when the Mustang and Camaro got serious, so did Chrysler, especially with this Trans Am edition.
1970 Dodge Super Bee: the Dodge version of the Road Runner. The ’70 has a bumblebee wings’ front grille.
1970 Dodge Dart Swinger: hood scoops feeding a 340-cubic-inch V8, disc brakes and beefy suspension.
1970 Plymouth Duster 340: 290 horsepower from the Six-Pack 340-cubic-inch V8 in a compact car. Smoke show anyone?
1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda: the ‘Cuda is the sportiest version of the Barracuda, no longer having anything in common with the Valiant.
