Top 10 “American” cars we don’t get American is between quotation marks because the following ten cars, and the brand, are owned or affiliated with one of the Big Three American car companies. Here’s a Top 10 of late-model cars that are not available on our market: Fiat Panda: Roomy, fun, economical! A far better and more interesting choice than the 500L and 500X.
Fiat Punto: Lovely styling inside and out. This should serve as the next FCA compact, but not be modified.
Ford EcoSport: The perfect competitor to the Mazda CX-3 and Jeep Renegade. And keep the spare!
Ford Falcon: The Fusion Sport ain’t got much on the Falcon. That, plus the Falcon name is so much cooler!
Ford Ka: Making microcars interesting for 20 years. The perfect weapon for high fuel prices.
Ford Ranger: This one, we expect to see sooner rather than later. We’re just trying to bug Ford…
Holden Trailblazer: The Traiblazer would fit perfectly between the Equinox and Traverse and be the robust SUV at Chevy.
Holden Ute: What more can we say other than the El Camino should never have been dropped?
Opel Adam: Another microcar that would make people change their minds about small being cheap and boring.
Vauxhall Astra: We got a sample a few years ago, but then we know what happened to Saturn. North America deserves a second chance!
