10 New SUVs We Can't Wait to See in Canada

There's no stopping the SUV craze. Automakers are busy developing and launching more and more models to meet growing demand from consumers.

Over the next few months, several new SUVs will arrive in showrooms and it's safe to say a number of them will be big hits.

Without further ado, here are 10 new SUVs we can't wait to see in Canada...

Chevrolet Trailblazer
Barely a year after resurrecting the Blazer, Chevrolet is about to bring another name back from the past. The TrailBlazer will return for 2021 and slot between the Trax and Equinox.

Mazda CX-30
Unveiled earlier this year, the new Mazda CX-30 will be a little bit bigger than the CX-3, but smaller than the CX-5. Pricing and on-sale date remain unspecified at this point, but we hear it's coming soon!

Hyundai Venue
Small SUVs are trendy and the brand new, FWD-only Hyundai Venue will directly challenge the Nissan Kicks and Toyota C-HR.

Kia Seltos
According to our sources, Kia will bring the new Seltos to Canada shortly. Sharing its platform with the Hyundai Kona, this model will become Kia's smallest utility vehicle.

Toyota RAV4 Plug-in
The best-selling Toyota RAV4 is bound to attract even more customers with the addition of a plug-in hybrid variant. The model will officially make its global debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Expect an EV range of about 70 kilometres.

Volvo XC40 Recharge
Instead of creating a whole new product, Volvo decided to build on its latest star, the XC40 small crossover. And unlike the plug-in hybrid variant, the electric XC40 will be sold in Canada, with a range of 320 kilometres.

Mercedes-Benz GLB
Smaller than the Mercedes-Benz GLC, the new 2020 GLB offers seating for up to seven. At 2.83 metres, its wheelbase is longer than that of the new CLA-Class. Also, there are 967 millimetres of legroom in the second row.

Land Rover Defender
While Land Rover SUVs typically spend more time parading on the road than testing their incredible off-road capabilities, the new Defender is a different animal. And for once it will be sold in Canada!

Ford Bronco
Ford confirmed the return of the Bronco a long while ago. We have yet to see it, of course, but it's expected to hit the road in 2020. We can't wait!

Tesla Model Y
The immense success of the Model 3 has motivated Tesla to introduce a compact SUV. Despite its small size, the Model Y will be available in a seven-passenger configuration and with the brand's Autopilot technology. Production is scheduled to begin next summer.
