22 Safest Vehicles of 2020 According to IIHS

Published on February 17, 2020 in News by Guillaume Rivard

It’s that time of the year again when the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) announces the full list of vehicles that receive a Top Safety Pick+ award.

In order to qualify, vehicles must have good ratings in each of the Institute’s six crashworthiness evaluations. They must also have good or acceptable headlights and available front crash prevention that earns advanced or superior ratings in both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian evaluations.

Unfortunately for families and hard-working men and women, no minivans or pickups qualify for the ultimate award this year. Subaru, Mazda, Genesis, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz lead other makes with the most awards
