10 New Models Arriving at Dealerships This Spring

Published on March 12, 2020 in Top 10 by Guillaume Rivard

Looking for a brand new vehicle? Want the latest and hottest model in town? You’ve come to the right place! The Car Guide has compiled a list of 10 all-new products that are set to arrive at Canadian dealerships by the end of spring.

Whether you prefer a car or an SUV, an affordable model or a luxury ride, we have you covered.

2021 Kia Seltos
Positioned between the Soul and Sportage, Kia’s newest star is available with all-wheel drive and a choice of two powertrains: a 2.0-litre unit producing 146 horsepower and a 1.6-litre turbo delivering 175 horsepower. The Seltos is fairly spacious, too. Cargo capacity amounts to 752 litres behind the rear seats.

2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
The all-new 2020 Highlander Hybrid is arriving this month with a base price of $45,490. Derived from the system in the RAV4 Hybrid, it combines a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with a pair of electric motors and a CVT in a more compact and more efficient package. Total system output amounts to 240 horsepower, while combined fuel economy stands at 6.9 L/100 km, an improvement of 17 percent from the previous generation.

2020 Land Rover Defender
The legendary Defender is back! Featured at recent auto shows in North America, this extremely capable and unique-looking 4x4 lands in showrooms this spring. Pricing for the long-wheelbase Defender 110 starts at $65,300 in base S trim and reaches $93,600 for the Defender X.

2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban
The completely redesigned 2021 Tahoe and Suburban will arrive sometime in the spring. Pricing and towing capacities have not been announced yet, but you should know that their cabins are much roomier and that the ride is significantly improved thanks to a new suspension. The Silverado’s diesel engine is even available under the hood.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE
Widely recognized as one of the sexiest cars on the road, the Jaguar F-TYPE now sports an evolution of the iconic design introduced in 2014. It goes on sale this spring starting at $73,000, which represents a $2,500 increase over the outgoing model. A limited-production F-TYPE First Edition will also be available.

2020 Nissan TITAN
Faced yet again with the impossible task of beating Detroit’s Big 3, the new and improved 2020 Nissan TITAN features a direct-injected 5.6-litre V8 that produces more power (400 hp) and torque (413 lb-ft) than any other standard V8 in the segment. The PRO-4X off-road model is particularly interesting and the burly TITAN XD is back, too.

2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer
The all-new 2021 Trailblazer, which has nothing to do with the old midsize SUV, is a small crossover arriving this spring with a pair of turbocharged three-cylinder engines and a unique ACTIV model for more adventurous drivers.

2020 Toyota Camry AWD
Another Toyota model that should prove popular among Canadian drivers is the new Camry AWD—the first since the Camry AllTrac (1988-1991). We’re talking about a different AWD system with dynamic torque vectoring borrowed from the new RAV4. Bad news for fans of the 301-horsepower V6: the AWD option will only be available with the 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, which produces up to 205 horsepower.

2021 Volkswagen Atlas
The refreshed 2021 Atlas—inspired by the five-passenger Atlas Cross Sport—goes on sale in Canada by the end of spring. Beyond the new grille, it features the brand’s next-generation Car-Net telematics system. Nothing changes under the hood except that the base engine is now paired with 4Motion all-wheel drive as standard.

Chrysler Pacifica AWD
The Pacifica AWD is coming for 2021, joining the Toyota Sienna as the only minivans to offer this option. It will begin arriving at dealerships in the fall. Can’t wait that long? AWD is also available on the 2020 Pacifica AWD Launch Edition, which you can order and take delivery of this spring.

2021 Toyota GR Supra
What? Another Toyota? Allow us to include an 11th model on our Top 10 list, because the 2021 GR Supra is too good to pass up. Set to arrive in showrooms in June, it now generates more power (382 hp) from its turbocharged six-cylinder engine, but more importantly, there’s a new turbo-four entry-level model delivering 255 horsepower. We’re hoping for a base price in the low-$50K range.
