The Nissan Pathfinder is a seven-passenger SUV that boasts a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds—above average in its segment—and a 284-horsepower, 3.5-litre V6 engine, which also happens to be fuel-efficient. It’s an affordable choice, though styling is fairly outdated.

The Chevrolet Traverse offers plenty of value. Production of the Dodge Grand Caravan ended in August, but you can still purchase a 2020 model—with a big fat rebate from the manufacturer. By the way, the new 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan starts at $37,995.
