There are many reasons why someone would want to keep a vehicle for a long time. They might have fallen in love with the design or performance. More often than not, though, it all comes down to ownership costs—including reliability, maintenance and fuel economy.

Want proof? U.S. research firm iSeeCars.com has analyzed over 900,000 eight-year-old vehicles to see which models are retained the most by their original owners. Among the top 10, six are built by Toyota including five hybrids. Check them out!
