Top 10 Best-selling Cars in Canada in 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, light-duty vehicle sales in Canada took a big tumble in 2020, falling 20 percent to 1,553,555 units and worsening the trend that started in 2019 (3.6-percent drop).

Once again, the auto industry can thank SUVs and pickups, because sales of passenger cars alone were down 37.1 percent. In fact, they now account for just one fifth of the Canadian market.
