10 New Model Debuts to Watch For This Fall

Published on September 10, 2021 in Top 10 by The Car Guide

Automakers have made us pretty happy with a number of big reveals in the past few weeks and months. Just to name a few, the list includes the Honda Civic, Ford Maverick, Hyundai Elantra N, Lamborghini Countach LP 800-4, Genesis GV60, Kia Sportage, Lotus Emira, Nissan Z and more recently the Subaru WRX.

The 2021 fall season is going to be similarly hot. Some of the new models to come are already confirmed, but there will be many surprises, too. Here are 10 to watch for.

2022 Toyota Tundra
Images of the redesigned full-size pickup leaked online in mid-June, prompting the Japanese automaker to post a first official picture. Since then, we’ve seen bits and pieces of the 2022 Tundra. The reveal will take place on September 19, so the wait is almost over!

2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 based on the eighth-generation coupe will debut on October 26 and go on sale next year as a 2023 model. A few weeks ago, we got to listen to the sound of the engine and exhaust system. Excited yet?

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Earlier this year, Jeep gave us a preview of the all-new 2022 Grand Cherokee in 4xe plug-in hybrid variant. The midsize SUV was supposed to make its debut in August at the 2021 New York International Auto Show, but the event was cancelled once more due to COVID-19. We’ll see it this fall, don’t worry.

2023 Ford Ranger
A new generation of Ford’s midsize pickup is coming for the 2023 model year. A complete and proper unveiling will take place later in 2021 ahead of the start of sales in 2022. In the meantime, check out what the truck is capable of.

2023 Polestar 3
The upcoming Polestar 3 is described as an “aerodynamic performance SUV” that will debut the new generation of EV architecture from Volvo. We will find out more by the end of this year. Production of the Polestar 3 will begin in 2022 as a 2023 model, creating new competition for the Tesla Model YAudi e-tronBMW iXCadillac LYRIQ and other luxury electric SUVs.

2022 Subaru WRX STI
Subaru has just unveiled the all-new, fifth-generation 2022 WRX, the first to be built on the Subaru Global Platform. It will go on sale early next year. In the meantime, we should see the new WRX STI, which is rumoured to pack around 400 horsepower.

2022 Mercedes-Benz SL
The next-generation Mercedes-Benz SL is coming as a 2022 model. The reveal is scheduled for this fall. As you can see, the interior will be quite similar to that of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale
First introduced as a concept at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo Tonale is taking its sweet time to launch. We anticipated the production model to be revealed this summer, but it has been delayed by a few months. This compact luxury SUV will be available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but which one? That remains to be seen.

2022 Honda Civic Si
Following the Civic Sedan in late April, Honda revealed the next-generation Civic Hatchback in June. Next up: the Civic Si. Set to return after a one-year hiatus, the model is expected to debut this fall, hopefully with a few more ponies under the hood.

2023 Subaru Solterra / Toyota bZ4X
The upcoming 2023 Subaru Solterra electric SUV will go on sale in North America in mid-2022, sharing its all-new platform with the production version of the Toyota bZ4X concept. In fact, the similarities between the two are striking. We’ve seen some teasers so far, and the official introduction will take place later in 2021, possibly at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Stay tuned!
