What if These Vehicles Existed For Real?

Automakers are launching all sorts of models they think customers will be attracted to, but some designs and configurations are left to our imagination—often because they’re simply too wild or unrealistic.

Want a few examples? We’ve scoured the web to find a number of surprising vehicle renderings by digital artists. Check out the photo gallery above and tell us which one should go into production.

The Honda Civic Si coupe the Japanese automaker won't make.

The all-new Subaru Solterra electric crossover would look sharp in performance-focused STi trim.

The upcoming Volkswagen ID. Buzz electric van will be available in many configurations. Imagine a GTI model.

The sensational 300-horsepower Toyota GR Corolla comes exclusively in hatchback configuration. Would a sedan be a good thing?

The Hyundai Sonata is reimagined with design elements seen on the new Staria minivan sold in South Korea.

Picture a single-cab, low-riding Ram 1500 TRX for street use. This is what it would look like.

Remember the Lincoln Mark LT? Someone brought it back as a heavy-duty pickup.

The Ford Maverick is tailored-made for the city, so why not create a real street truck?

What if the latest BMW M3 became a pickup? Of course, no one at BMW has ever asked that question.

Hyundai may be working on a high-performance IONIQ 6 N electric sedan. Here's what it could look like.

Europeans would love a wagon variant of the 2023 Honda Civic Type R to go head-to-head with the Volkswagen Golf R Variant.

Another hypothetical wagon, this one based...on a Ford Mustang GT?

The all-new, seventh-gen 2024 Ford Mustang will retain coupe and convertible variants. A pickup is not part of the plan, just to be clear.

Speaking of pickups, can you imagine a Ferrari Purosangue with an open cargo bed? Enzo Ferrari would certainly roll over in his grave.

In another scenario, the Ferrari Purosangue becomes a cabriolet. And it doesn't look so bad.

The new BMW XM is an ultra-sporty hybrid crossover with up to 735 horsepower. An XM pickup would be the most powerful of its kind, obviously.

Would a luxury minivan from Audi be a good idea? You be the judge.

The all-new 2023 Toyota Crown is sort of a different type of sedan. The automaker won't go so far as to launch an overlanding model, however.

The Acura Integra is back in five-door hatchback configuration but no coupe. Here's one, though, and it has a widebody kit on top of that.

The Mazda6 is gone. Some reports indicate it might come back. This rendering shows a future sedan with styling inspired from the new Mazda CX-60 sold in Europe.

There is no fully electric Volvo XC90 yet. The upcoming EX90 will change that.
