Ken Block, one of the most famous automotive celebrities, passed away on January 2, 2023 in a tragic snowmobile accident. This talented American driver gained popularity for its success in rally, as well as for his impressive viral stunt videos. To pay tribute to his career and life as a true gearhead, the team at The Car Guide has collected photos of some of his most spectacular cars.

2006 Subaru WRX STI

This car literally put Ken Block on the map, because it was the star of Gymkhana. Powered by a 564 horsepower 4-cylinder Boxer engine, this car weighs only 2,775 pounds. What a rocket!

2011 Ford Fiesta GYM3

Following the video featuring the Subaru WRX shown earlier, Block drew attention to a heavily modified Ford Fiesta. Equipped with a 2.0-litre Olsbergs Duratec engine with 600 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque, the Fiesta impressed us with its handling and surgical precision.

2013 Ford F-150 RaptorTRAX

Behold this snow behemoth! Wearing snow tracks instead of wheels, the RaptorTRAX is more agile and powerful than ever. Its 6.2-litre V8 engine packs 650 horsepower. This is a great off-road vehicle for the winter!

2015 Ford Fiesta ST RX43

This rallycross racer can go from 0-96 km/h in only 2 seconds! Featured for the first time in the Gymkhana 6 video, it certainly didn't go unnoticed!

2017 Can-Am Maverick X3 MAX X rs

Powered by a Rotax ACE 3-cylinder turbo engine and sitting on a Fox 2.5 Podium QS3 suspension system, this little off-roader was severely modified by Block to be able to go both on and off road. And as Ken Block so aptly put it in an interview, "you can even put a baby seat in it! Which we obviously don't recommend...

1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR

This Mustang is probably one of Ken Block's cars that has received the most media attention. After appearing in several Gymkhana videos, it also had its moment of glory on the famous British TV show Top Gear. Under the hood, you'll find a supercharged V8 engine with 845 horsepower and 720 lb-ft of torque. But watch out! Since its last appearance on TV, Block's team of mechanics has replaced this engine with a Roush Yates V8 with an output of 1400 horsepower and 1250 lb-ft of torque.

1978 Ford Escort MK2 RS

This unique Ford Escort is more of a show car than a race car. With its 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine producing 333 horsepower, it's not the fastest car in Block's collection. That said, he did race it during an event in New York in 2009.

1977 Ford F-150 Hoonitruck

Diametrically different from the first F-150 featured earlier in this gallery, the Hoonitruck is much stronger than it looks. Generating 941 horsepower, the turbocharged EcooBoost V6 engine is paired with a very efficient all-wheel drive system engineered in-house by Block.

Ford RS200

The legendary Ford RS200 has received several modifications by the Hoonigan team, and the result is spectacular! Armed with a small 2.1-litre four-cylinder engine, this little bomb on four wheels outputs nearly 700 horsepower!

Skoda Fabia R5+

After his association with Ford, Ken Block took the auto world by surprise by tearing the streers on board a Skoda Fabia R5+. If you're not familiar with Skoda, it's a Czech brand that's part of the Volkswagen family. This subcompact hatchback caught Block's eye and he used it to compete in the 2021 100 Acre Wood Rally in Salem, Missouri.

Porsche 911 Hoonipigagus

This heavily modified Porsche 911 was used by Ken Block in the Pikes Peak competition in Colorado. The Hoonipigasus features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre flat-six engine rated at 1,400 horsepower. It weighs only 1,000 kilograms and has a shoulder-high transmission tunnel (!) to lower the centre of gravity, according to Hoonigan Racing. The suspension is self-adjusting based on altitude using GPS data recorded last year.

Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron

In partnership with Audi since 2021, Ken Block had tons of fun in this car while shooting the Elektrikhana video, which you can watch again here
