Another huge recall for American manufacturer GM. This time, more than 2.7 million vehicles are concerned, for a variety of reasons, ranging from ''mild inconvenience'' to '' catastrophic failure''. Of this number, 204,000 were sold in Canada.

But there is a good side to all these recalls: GM authorizes them as soon as they see a trend in warranty jobs, they don't wait for the government to force a recall. Even better, no accidents or casualties have been reported so far.

GM predicts they will lose $100,000,000 in the second quarter, mainly because of recall-related fees.
